Another lively dance, maybe a little fast for basse dance, but it sounds just about right to me. Also, Attaignant, probably, wasn’t the composer.

StandardAnother fun dance, very lively and light. Have fun!
Lute by James Marriage (2006) after Hans Frei
Branle de Bourgogne 7 / Adrian Le Roy
StandardLet’s dance, in Burgundy style! WoW, this is a fun one. Very lively and clear, not very challenging to play, but extremely fun.
Lute by James Marriage (2006) after Hans Frei.
Aultre basse danse / Pietro P Borrono
StandardA nice sweet dance, light and bright. Lute by James Marriage (2006) after Hans Frei.
Pavane / Pierre Blondeau
StandardFirst of all, yes, I forgot to turn on the lights, I prefer darkness. Not good for my eyes.
Saying that, I really like this pavane, easy on the ears and really fun to play, it’s one of these Renaissance pieces you shouldn’t skip when playing or studying Renaissance music with not that complex composition.
Enjoy!
Recercar / Joan Ambrosio Dalza
StandardI’m not sure about this one, I either performed it wrong or it’s just plain…strange (not sure about that too), so please tell me what you think and I’ll take your advices. Saying that, this is a really nice Recercar to play and study, like most of Dalza’s compositions.
Enjoy!
Paven 5 / Anonymous
StandardA nice little Pavan. Now, I know the title says Paven and it should be Pavan or Pavane. However, I checked my papers and it does says Paven on the title, so I guess the title is in the original title too.
I also had to compress the video (using handbreak) and it seems a bit strange compared to the original, but not being a video guy, I have no idea what the reason is. The most important is the dance itself.

שיעורי גיטרה בקריית טבעון
StandardPaduana 2 / Anonymous
StandardAnother beautiful piece, also know as Pavane. Only heard it once in a Facebook lute group before trying to playing it myself and it’s not only beautiful, but really fun to play. I really hope that one day I’ll be able to play these dances with other people.
Lute by James Marriage (2006) after Hans Frei
Fantasia No 41 / Francesco Canova da Milano
StandardThis is a beautiful, beautiful fantasy and one of the first pieces I learned in the days before time. There’s so much to love in this small piece, there’s the start, the voices, the suspensions and of course, the final cadence which concludes it all in a very simple and elegant way. This one is a timeless and I hope you all agree with me. Lute by James Marriage (2006) after Hans Frei.
As always, please leave you comments below, I know about the bright light, that one you can ignore. I am working on a ways (not in software) to improve it and the video recording as a whole, it’s a mission and I’m not planning on upgrading my video equipment.
Also a reminder, please visit my store, I’m offering new engravings every week and you can request a custom one.
